About 30 minutes looking at how you see and how healthy your eyes are.

We measure your distance and near vision with modern equipment and check whether your glasses or contact lenses are still right for you.

Tonometry
A quick, painless measurement of the pressure inside the eye. It is the key test for catching glaucoma early, especially after 40.

Retinal photography
A digital photo of the back of the eye to assess the retina and optic nerve, kept on file so we can compare year on year.

Professional advice
We explain the results clearly and, if needed, recommend a solution or refer you to an ophthalmologist.

Is the eye test really free?
Yes. There is no charge and no obligation to buy. It includes the prescription check, tonometry and retinal photography.
Do I need an appointment?

How long does it take?
About 30 minutes. If you wear contact lenses, come with them in and bring your current glasses.
Do you test children?
Yes. We recommend a first test at around age 3 and then once a year during school years.
Who carries out the test?
A qualified, registered optometrist. If we find anything that needs medical attention, we refer you to an ophthalmologist.
Do you speak English?
Yes. We serve customers in English and Spanish, and this page is also available in German, French and Dutch.
